The roller system and yarn guide concept are specifically developed for special composite materials and high-modulus carbon fiber products. Carefully selected surfaces, optimized geometries, and precise guidance paths minimize fiber stress and prevent damage, ensuring consistent quality for even the most sensitive and premium tows.

For maximum efficiency and process reliability, the winder supports exact bobbin length winding with automatic changeovers. This enables continuous production, precise length control, and repeatable quality – ideally suited for demanding tow-preg processes and downstream automation.
For complete line automation, SAHM also offers the CB1 AGV system, a robotic bobbin handling system to enable fully automated material handling across the entire winding line. This automated guided vehicle solution eliminates operator-related faults and reduces labor costs – creating a stable and highly efficient production environment with integrated quality control.

Deviations from defined quality criteria automatically trigger alarms for immediate corrective action.
Alarm processing can even include a setting for an automatic bobbin changeover to keep material waste to a minimum while ensuring uncompromised production quality.
